BUYER’S GUIDE / 3 min read

A better brief. A clearer container quote.

A useful quote starts with a useful brief. You do not need every specification before contacting Monark, but a few clear details help the conversation move from a general enquiry to suitable options.

Describe what you need

State whether you want to buy, rent or arrange transportation. Add the number of containers and any preferred type or size. If you are unsure, describe the intended use rather than selecting a category simply because it sounds familiar.

Share the location and timing

Include the delivery location and preferred date. For rental enquiries, add the expected duration. If a project has phases or several destinations, explain that early so the team can discuss the requirement as a whole.

Explain condition and access requirements

Tell the team whether you are considering new, one-trip or used equipment, or whether you need guidance. Mention any known access restrictions and the intended loading arrangement. Request clarification rather than assuming delivery and unloading are included together.

Confirm the proposal in writing

Review the quoted type, quantity, condition, availability and included services before proceeding. Ask about anything that remains unclear. Keeping the agreed scope in one place helps everyone work from the same understanding as the requirement moves forward.
